The Geloso brand has always been one of our favorites– the industrial design and build quality of these is incredible. This little amp head is no exception. It utilizes a pair of EL84s in cathode bias for around 12 Watts of power but it sounds much much louder. Due to the unique output transformer there is literally no speaker this amp will not drive. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The circuit starts with two separate inputs, one having a lighter sound than the other. The musica\/voce switch allows for a little extra gain and low frequency boost. Where the character of the amp really shines however is the interaction of the two volume controls and the mids “tone” control. Due to its unique design, fully overdriven sounds are possible at even the quietest output level– this makes the amp great for the studio or at home. The amount of distortion is controlled not just by the gain but also the mids, it is remarkable how much of a distinction can be heard by rotating this one knob. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Topping it off are a switchable in\/out treble and bass tone stack for final tailoring of the sound. The amp is incredibly quiet even at high gain and is extremely flexible. The power transformer as well is switchable to be able to be used throughout the world. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
