The Rerunner

This is the first tape machine I bought to turn into a guitar amp and it’s still my favorite.  It’s seen many different iterations over the years but after finding an old German organ amplifier that fit perfectly I think it is finally happy.  The amplifier yielded some fantastic AEG transformers including an output transformer that has ultralinear taps and uses EL84 output tubes.  The ultralinear setup gives a more bassy, warm sound that makes this a wonderful clean amp that overdrives very nicely.  Also included is a bias tremolo circuit with the red “on” lamp blinking in time to the oscillator.
